Men’s wear

Men’s wear inspired by uniforms… According to Uniforms and Men’s Fashions most men’s wear has some what derived from a uniform of some kind. This supports men's ‘heroism’, ‘muscularity’ and ‘sexual prowess’- all traits that men desire and idolise. No wonder men's wear includes rigid lines and sharp tailoring. But is it these restrictions that have limited male imagination in fashion within Australia? Becoming too comfortable with the conservative designs of men's fashion in Australia. Designers have explored the possibilities for other alternatives for men's fashions in countries such as Europe but in Australia men seam to like the limited choices and plain structure of their garments. Perhaps this is why clothing inspired by uniforms is so successful.
